Maruwa recognizes the implementation of ESG initiatives to be of the utmost importance in maintaining the very foundations that build, sustain and grow our organization, preserving the environment and creating a healthier future for the forthcoming generations.

Maruwa has implemented ESG initiatives by means of addressing it’s performance and identifying areas wherein environmental impact can be minimized, in line with the overarching Malaysian Sustainability Plan, The Malaysian Renewable Energy Roadmap (MyRER) 2022-2035 and more specifically, the Paris Agreement.

CONTRIBUTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL, SOCIAL, AND GOVERNANCE (ESG)

In line with our principles, we at Maruwa believe that through the manufacture of Advanced Electronics Ceramics, we are able to support and sustain the existing social and environmental infrastructure.

Besides removing redundant process units, the implementation of an increasingly productive workspace and improvement of yield management has allowed for fewer machines to be operational at any given time, which leads to lesser energy being consumed.

Another method of reducing emissions undertaken by Maruwa is minimizing plastic usage plantwide. At Maruwa, our mission to reduce overall plastic consumption begins with identifying how and where plastic is brought into our facility before moving to improve the process whereby plastic usage can be reduced and removed altogether. This indirectly leads to overall carbon emissions reduction whereby the purchase of plastic products can be minimized.

Overall, we at Maruwa firmly believe that our actions in implementing ESG initiatives plantwide will be beneficial, not only to us as an organization but also to those affiliated and within the vicinity of our organization. We believe that the implementation of these initiatives, will aid us in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) put forth by the United Nations, in line with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
